CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
ASHTANGA VINYASA - Pairing the fundamentals
and predictability of Ashtanga with the flow of Vinyasa, Using breath and movement producing an internal heat that purifies
the muscles and organs, expels unwanted toxins, as well as releases beneficial hormones and minerals. This practice
allows the body to be transformed from within leaving the mind to feel rejuvenated.
CORE CONDITIONING
- This class improves balance and posture while strengthening ones determination through concentration and deep focus on core
muscle work while incorporating the mindfulness of yoga.
HATHA YOGA - A practice which will
commonly teach a threefold system: Techniques to control the mind by controlling the breath; Physical postures (asanas) are
meant to bring comfort, flexibility and strength to the muscles, joints, bones, internal organs; And deep relaxation or even
meditation, aiding both the mind and the body into a place of blissful peace.
KIDS YOGA - Yoga
classes for children will involve upbeat music, strength and flexibility exercises, relaxation and often some incorporation
of art projects and story time. Private instruction and birthday parties also available.
MULTI-SYLE YOGA
- A unique and ever changing blend of hatha & kundalini yogas, mixed with qi-gong & tai-chi, pilates, calistenics,
breath work and meditation. A class that is dynamic for beginner and advanced students alike.
NIA TECHNIQUE
- A movement practice that offers the cardiovascular benefits of traditional exercise as well as encourages emotional expression
and engagement to nourish the mind, body and spirit. Nia blends the power and precision of Martial Arts; the grace,
fun and expression of the Dance Arts and the support and centering qualities of the Healing Arts....all to beautiful music.
SENIORS YOGA - A gentler, slower yoga meant to strengthen joints, bones and muscles using breathing,
meditation and simple asanas that can be adjusted for the individual.
YIN YOGA - A deep stretching
class that goes beyond the muscles into the connective tissue and joints. The asanas are held for about 5 minutes each.
This slow, intense practice is ideal as a compliment to any hatha yoga system or other exercise programs. Greatly increases
flexibility and strength.
YOGA/MEDITATION - A beautiful opportunity to learn and practice stillness
of mind, heart and spirit. A variety of experiential journeys await you here with body prepping exercises, breathing
techniques, creative visualization and sound current exploration.
ZUMBA - This unique class fuses Latin
rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create an upbeat dance workout which uses interval techniques as well as resistance training
to tone and sculpt while burning fat.
